アヒルと鴨のコインロッカー is one of the most thoroughly original films I’ve seen lately. One of the most thrilling and puzzling premise. Completely took me by surprise. Certainly the title is quirky enough to attract a specific category of people. Little did I know I would enjoy it that much. Great storytelling, great acting, great filmmaking… The Kinotayo festival is screening it in Paris....

Funny how short texts take forever to write. The picture below is a good illustration of how I’m feeling right now. Ichikawa looks pretty good lying down in the snow like that, and still slicing and dicing. A rather unique sword fighting scene (“Samurai Vendetta”).
