A little bird (also known as Twitch) informed us that Sion Sono’s film “Love Exposure” is finally getting a legitimate New York City theatrical run at Cinema Village beginning September 2nd. We say finally because, as some of you may remember, we hosted the NYC premiere two years ago at JAPAN CUTS ‘09. We even had Sono on board for a Q&A and we have the photos to prove it. The film is being distributed by Olive Films and we’re all sitting here, crossing our fingers and hoping that this means a US DVD release is in the near future.
